Situated in Alpensia Peyongchang Resort in Daegwallyeong, Gangwon-do, the Holiday Inn Resort is a four-star, deluxe hotel with 214 rooms in the main building alone.
In addition to the main building, the hotel has a separate building where every room is equipped with high-end spa facilities, realizing the dream of a ‘combination hotel and spa.’ This annex is also connected to a conference center (Korea’s largest business facility), which comes equipped with a large banquet room, an audio system allowing for the simultaneous translation of up to 8 different languages, an auditorium, and 13 meeting rooms.

La zone touristique Daegwallyeong désigne cinq villes touristiques dans la région de Gangwon-do incluant Pyeongchang-gun, ville hôte des J.O d’hiver 2018. Composée de paysages typiques et d’una nature abondante, cette zone comprend les villes de Gangneung, Donghae, Samcheok, Hoengseong et Pyeongchang.
Gangneung est la ville la plus proche de Daegwallyeong. Parmi les sites remarquables de la ville, on compte le lac Gyeongpoho ou encore le pavillon Gyeongpodae.
Donghae est connue pour ses deux ports Donghaehang et Mukhohang, deux sites représentatifs de la vigueur de la vie côtière sur la mer de l’Est. La ville est aussi un point d’accès vers l’île Ulleungdo depuis le port Mukhohang.
Samcheok est une ville côtière située au sud de Gangwon-do. La ville est connue notamment pour les grottes Hwanseongul et Daegeumgul.
Hoengseong est quant à elle réputée pour sa viande de boeuf ‘hanu’ et les différents programmes d’activités liés l’agriculture. Les forêts denses et chemins de promenade au mont Taegisan attirent aussi de nombreux visiteurs.
Pyeongchang est quant à elle une ville réputée pour les sports d’hiver.
